Vahe has been working in the Electrical Engineering industry since 2005, encompassing a wide range of areas including residential, commercial, and utility high-voltage systems. His work involves electrical substations, Utility and Commercial PV Solar Generation, Battery Storage, Distributed Energy Resources, microgrids, backup generators, and EV charging infrastructure. Vahe’s skills also extend to industrial power systems, industrial controls, building management systems, data centers, SCADA, automation systems, energy management system (EMS), relay protection, arc flash, lightning, and system grounding studies.
As a licensed Professional Engineer in California and Hawaii, Vahe has worked with leading electric utilities in California and nationwide. He has led over 500 projects and contributed to more than 10GW of renewable projects, demonstrating his expertise in overseeing teams and directing consultants in the detailed design and coordination of complex electrical systems.
Vahe can provide services related to power conversion systems, power quality analysis, fire origin and root cause investigations, electrical accidents in the workplace, construction defects, electrocution incidents, power outages and infrastructure failure, product liability and intellectual property cases, energy storage and battery fires, renewable energy disputes, and cases involving electric vehicles, charging stations, and related infrastructure. His expertise in low and high voltage equipment testing and failure analysis underscores his understanding of the intricacies of electrical systems. He is knowledgeable in regulatory compliance, including electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, NESC, UL, and IEEE, as well as adherence to NERC and FERC regulations.
In addition to his technical expertise, Vahe has been successfully managing his own consulting firm since 2016. His firm leadership reflects his strong grasp of both project technicalities and business operations, adept in the nuances of contract reviews, negotiations, and client relations.
An active member of IEEE and CALSSA, Vahe has been attending major renewable energy conferences like RE+ and Intersolar since 2010.
